Domestic Lawns. Hydroseeding costs a fraction more than older methods of dry seeding but gives a better result within only a few weeks. Your new lawn will be sprayed on using a protective mulch covering which is pastel green in appearance. As the seed germinates, the pastel green colour will disappear and the new grass will come through.

Canterbury Spray on Lawn uses a special blend of seed specifically chosen for the conditions and requirements of your area. The time of germination depends on weather and consistency of water after application.

Our hydroseed is mixed with a fertiliser to give the young seedlings the nutrients they require to germinate. In order to gain maximum results from hydroseed, we recommend applying a slow release fertiliser monthly and when your lawn is well established, four times yearly, in conjunction with weed control.

After Care

To gain maximum benefits from your new lawn a few simple steps are required.

Watering: It is essential to keep your lawn in a moist condition. We recommend watering morning and night. Water should not pool at any time. The first 3 weeks are critical for germination, if your mulch begins to appear lighter in colour, watering is required.

Fertilising: We recommend fertilising your lawn once every 3 months with a slow release fertiliser to maintain a healthy and nourished lawn.

Mowing: The recommended height for mowing your new lawn is 75mm, however it is important not too mow your lawn lower than 1/3 from the ground. As mowing your lawn stimulates growth we recommend mowing your lawn once a week.

Once your new lawn has been established it is extremely easy to manage with regular watering, mowing and feeding. The initial 21 days are crucial as the germination seedlings cannot be allowed to dry out or they will die.
